Kids, teens, and adults will find this to be a great translation tool that satisfies curious minds and makes understanding and communicating in a different language a reality. The offline translation mode allows users to take advantage of the app's features in situations with limited or no Wi-Fi coverage. If kids are trying to find the word for a physical object in another language, they can use the Lens feature to determine the translation based on an image. Using the Lens feature, kids can take pictures of text for automatic translation of words, phrases, signs, menus, and chunks of text, including book passages or articles. Users can choose the input language or take advantage of automatic language detection, which recognizes the input language and translates it to the desired language. All translations appear in written form and in audio. Kids can either type text for translation or use the voice recognition feature, which translates speech.

The app translates over 100 languages including Arabic, Bengali, Czech, Chinese, Dutch, English, German, Spanish, Zulu, and Vietnamese. Parents need to know that iTranslate Translator is a productivity app that translates text, voice, websites, and images.
